Sierra Club Maine would like to invite you to the Fifth Annual Sierra Club Summer Environmental Film Series in Bar Harbor at the Reel Pizza.
This will be the fifth year for the film series – it has developed quite a following and Reel Pizza is continuing its generous donation of the theater and technical staff!
This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act! Therefore the films slected for the Summer Environmental Film Series were chosen to celebrate the benefits of the wild and wilderness. The Maine Chapter has organized a series of Maine wilderness outings and special events to commemorate the 50th Anniversary.

Forever Wild celebrates America’s commitment to wilderness and its preservation, capturing the glory of undeveloped, wild places through stunning images. It profiles America’s modern wilderness heroes – individuals who have spent immeasurable energy to ensure that these wild places remain forever wild.
With Special Guest Speaker Paul Haertel, former Superintendent of Acadia National Park.
The goals of the film series are to inform the community about crucial environmental concerns, to highlight the heroes of the efforts to protect the environment, and to enjoy beautiful cinematography depicting the wonders of the natural world!
