Acadia National Park Science Symposium

April 16, 2014 @ 9:00 am4:00 pm

$35

Our third annual symposium will feature science taking place in and beyond the park boundary, and will particularly highlight the process of connecting science with people.  The Symposium will provide a forum to hear about science taking place in the region and a venue to interact and build collaborations with scientists, students, park staff, and others working in a range of fields.

To facilitate interactions and discussion, the Science Symposium will feature poster sessions with a small number of invited oral presentations.  We welcome and encourage posters from a wide range of disciplines, including natural sciences, social sciences, and the humanities–e.g., ecology, geology, human behavior, education, economics, cultural history, etc.

Featured Speakers

Seth Benz, Schoodic Institute

Mark Chandler, Earthwatch Institute

Catherine Clinger, College of the Atlantic

Sarah Nelson, University of Maine

Catherine Schmitt, Maine Sea Grant
