Dr. Loren McClenachan, historical ecologist at Colby College, will be giving a talk at College of the Atlantic on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 4 pm. McClenachan’s work involves using historical documents, narratives, photographs, menus, etc. to examine animal population trends and put them in a conservation biology context. She has worked extensively on sea turtles and fishes in the Caribbean, fishes in Hawaii, and just came back from a year sabbatical in Australia. She also has been actively publishing with undergraduate students at Colby, including work on alewives and clams.
